Tarpoon Lagoon This was an overdue experience that I have wanted to try for almost 2 years. We missed out on last summer and didn't want to miss this year before the cold water returned for winter season. We finally got around this past weekend and you're looking at a newly certified Scuba Diver. Our instructor Michael, has over 30 years of experiencing diving. His passion and knowledge carried us this weekend. I'll admit, I'm afraid of the open water and not a confident swimmer so this was an overwhelming experience at first. But Michael never let me out of his sight. He took us 60 ft down and we got to see all kinds of sea creatures form nurse sharks, barracudas, sting rays, monsterous lobsters (which I'll need to go back and catch for dinner next time). This under water experience has brought a new found appreciation for the water life we're surrounded here in Miami.
