Aug ‘24 - Are We Dating or In A Relationship?

Hello Friends! Is it me, or does it feels like we're back in 2006 updating our relationship status on our Facebook page? With the drop down option of: Single, In a Relationship or It's Complicated we hope there's a bit more transparency when it comes to your Broker agreement. You may hear Brokers reference the Buyer Broker agreement as the "Dating" Form or the "In a Relationship" Form. Let me simplify this for you. Moving forward, all Buyers that would like to preview a listing (even virtually) will need to sign an agreement form with their Broker. The Showing Agreement (Dating Form) is specified only to specific properties listed in the agreement. So if you have showings scheduled for multiple days, you may need to sign a Showing Agreement form for all three days. The Exclusive Buyer's Broker Agreement (In a Relationship Form) is the form that outlines you are only working with one Broker in that specific region and property type. And like any normal relationship, I wouldn't suggest signing two Exlcusive Buyer Broker Agreement as you'd be responsible of paying compensation to both Brokers should you execute into a purchase contract. Both contracts outline the following: 1) Name of Broker 2) Name of Buyer (you) 3) Compensation amount agreement % or flat fee esi4) Property type (Residential) 5) Valid time period (1 year) If you'd like to know more, please reach out and I'd be happy to send you a copy of a DRAFT form and go over both agreements with you.
